Joseph Lillo — a Georgia native, a maker by passion, and the sole hand behind every piece that leaves JL Woodworks of GA. I'm rooted right here in the Alpharetta area of Forsyth County, a vibrant, fast-growing community north of Atlanta that I'm proud to call home. This is where I live, create, and connect with the customers who inspire me to keep doing what I do. I didn't build this business from a factory floor or a wholesale catalog — I built it from my garage, my dining room and a deep desire to make things that matter to people.

My journey with laser cutting and woodworking began as a creative outlet. What I didn't expect was how deeply my pieces would resonate with others. A custom family name sign hung at someone's front door. A memorial keepsake placed on a loved one's shelf. A laugh-out-loud novelty sign that becomes the most-talked-about gift at a white elephant party. I quickly realized that what I was making wasn't just wood and lines — it was connection.

JL Woodworks of GA was born from two things: precision craftsmanship and the genuine joy of making people smile. This business is rooted in the community it serves, made for the people who live, gather, and celebrate here. I use a professional-grade laser engraver and cutter to produce intricate, high-quality pieces from premium woods with a level of detail that simply cannot be achieved by hand alone. But the machine is only the beginning, every item is designed, cut, sanded, and finished entirely in-house by me.

I operate JL Woodworks of GA with the same philosophy whether I'm filling a $20 order or a $200 custom commission: meticulous attention to detail, start to finish. Every item is sanded by hand, inspected by eye, and finished with care. I am deeply committed to supporting local artisan markets and keeping handcrafted craftsmanship alive right here in North Georgia — because I believe people deserve to know exactly who made the art they're hanging in their home or gifting to someone they love.
